Time to play Piston Basketball

We need to get our act together and start to play Piston basketball. I am sick of Dwayne Wade and Shaq taking it to us. We need to watch film of game one and play like that again. Wade has gotten to the lame way to much on us. Where is our GREAT DEFENSE? Giving up 100 points in a game is not playing Piston basketball. We have a great team and we need to remember that and start to play like a great team again.
If we can stop Wade we will win.

Big Mike Williams says NO to ESPN

This past week, ESPN asked Lions rookie WR Mike Williams if he would like to take part in a show to be aired durring training camp where Mike Williams would have a camera and be wired on and off the playing field. I believe the show is called "Hey Rookie" or something very simular. Mike Williams said no to ESPN. I first I thought this was stupid, because it would give Detroit some press. After thinking about it, it was probably a good decision on Mike's part. He would not have the pressure and camera on him at all times so he can concintrate and football and helping out the Lions. I think Mike Williams can become a heck of a player. He has been learning from one of the best the past year in Chris Carter. Chris has probably tought Mike some of the ins and outs of the game. The in and outs that take years to learn. What Mike lacks is game playing experience over the past year. Once he gets his feet wet we might have one of the best offenses in the league. If Joey gets his act together and starts throwing the ball to his WRs we can win a lot of games this season.

D. Wade=STAR

I am one of the biggest Piston fans there is, but D. Wade is a human highlight reel. The man can do it all. Detroit had his number in game one, but he came right out of the blocks and made shot after shot tonight. Still, Detroit still almost came back and pulled off the win. Too bad I have to work Sunday. Maybe I will tape the game and watch it when I get back. F@^& that, I will be able to see the whole 4th quarter. Good luck Pistons. Its time to put those belts back on and stop Miami from taking a game at our home. Go Pistons.

Summer time blues

First of all, I want to appologize for my long absence. I have been really busy with work and I have been out of town the greater part of the past two weeks. Time to talk sports.

With the basketball season winding down, and no Red Wing playoff hockey, after the End of June it is going to be a long summer. Yes, we have the Tigers, but they are not going to the World Series this year. They have looked good and they have looked ugly, but that is what to expect from this team. They are still a few years away from being very competitive. We need Bonderman and the rest of the staff to mature and hope that some of our young pitchers start to show some promise. What that happens look out, we will have a good team on our hands.

The Pistons take on the Miami Heat starting Monday. Can the Pistons take it to Miami and pull off, what many call an upset? I think the Pistons are too tough from top to bottom to let Miami sneek out of the East. Big Daddy is hurt and the Pistons can through too many people at him all night long. It will be a tough series but the Pistons will be back in the Finals to face Tim Duncan and the Spurs.

After another Piston Championship, we have two months or so until the Lions open the regular season. Does Joey have the will to take the Lions into the playoffs this season? I am hoping so, but he has not shown me much the past three years, so the jury is still out on that. I am hoping Big Mike Williams and Shaun Cody will fit in nicely with the team. At first I did not like the Williams pick, but if we have an offense like we did in the early 90's, that would be great to see. Looking forward to another Piston Championship and the start of the NFL Season.

Pistons vs. Heat

Hey, sorry we havent posten in a while. I saw "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" last night. Its a great movie, I advise you to see it.

The long awaited match up between the Pistons and the Heat is finally here. I seriously think the Pistons will win this series because Shaq is not 100%, and the Pistons know what it takes to win a series like this. This sereis might turn out to look like the Lakers last year. Its funny, even though the Pistons are the NBA champs, the national media still doesnt believe in them. I excpect Rip to come oout nailing J's, and Chauncey to hit the open 3. I'm going to be gone Monday-Friday this week. where I am going has no electricity so I cant keep track of the Pistons. Thats it for now, look for Alex or I to make an update next saturday. May the force be with you.

Pistons playoff hopes

The pistons aren't looking so swift right now heading into game 3 with the pacers. They havn't had the same intensity to dominate other contenders to take the title. I honestly don't think the pistons will win it this year even though I am a Detroit native. Mcdyess was playing good the first couple games and looked like a weapon but he's starting to fade away coming into each game. Are defense isn't the same as it used to be either because we havn't been holding our opponents under 70 and are bench needs some serious help. I think the pistons will loose to the heat in the finals in the eastern conference.

Our future is looking bright with our young bench. I think that Darko was a good pick because if we had another player such as Carmelo or Wade, we would have to replace one of our starters and one of them would probaly not want to come off the bench because they are all so good. I would like your oppinions on the pistons. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Stay tuned for more
