DSS has a new forum!

DSS and TigersTalk have parter ways, and DSS's new forum will be hosted by an up and coming site called The Sports Desk. www.thesportsdesk.com we have ur own forum covering all sports. Be sure to check it out and post! thanks.

Plus, I have a writing job once a week for Tribe talk. Its a Indians fan site, and I write the A.L central update, and say how much I hate the Tribe. Be sure to check that out also. Each issue comes out every sunday, just like a real newspaper.http//tribetalk.rr.nu/index.php? Thanks again.

You have probably the ugliest looking site I have ever seen.

Clearly, this Tribe Talk site didn't ask to see any writing samples before bringing you on, Tamaz. That's a shame.

By the way - how does one "parter" ways with someone else?

And that link doesn't work.

And you promised us a post wrapping up the Finals. I guess we just need to get used to disappointment.

Jojo, I've been really busy. Expect one from MSUSpartan soon. Tribe talk likes my writing. Jojo any clue to how Dan got mentioned over me?

Let's see - he's a more consistent poster and has an ever-so-slightly better grasp on the English language. He's also a link whore, of course, which might help. And he's been clearly taking my constructive criticism to heart and improving his writing.

You'd be wise to do the same, and then perhaps you, too, might find yourself briefly mentioned in a lengthy article that no one will read.

(I also have to concur with Dan - your site has become difficult to read of late. Maybe you should stop tweaking.)

alright, I'll put it back. What exactly do I have to change to make my writing better?

You could start by reading a book on basic grammar and sentence structure, for one. Try re-reading what you've written out loud before you post it - it can't possibly make sense to you that way, and you'll catch the glaring spelling errors and typos as well (hopefully).

And take a STAND on a topic - don't just give us the same regurgitated opinions we read elsewhere. You don't draw readers (or the attention of the Freep) by re-printing their own tripe.

Does the Davis thing really matter that much? Jojo why dont you make a ranking of the best detroit sports blogs to the worst on your site, that would be cool.

At Tribe Talk, the graphic guy made me a new banner. Here it is http://img183.echo.cx/img183/931/dss3yq.jpg Tell me if you like the new one or the old one more? Thanks.

Man, that list would just be a top ten with no one above ten. Maybe the dork from Tigerblog - he's so insane, I'll give him ninth. But that's an exercise in futility.

As far as the banner, apparently the guy from the Tribe site is just as bad at self-editing as you are - I thought the site name was Detroit Sport*S* Squad, not Sport Squad.

JoJo, I just took a look at your site. It's funny, props. However, you guys missed a few other detroit sports.

lions.mostvaluablenetwork.com (not updated much but we've got a guy coming in who will)

pistons.mostvaluablenetwork.com

tigers.mostvaluablenetwork.com

Evan - we're well aware of the Most Volatile Network of sites (with regard to writer turnover, of course); we've just chosen to begin our efforts with young Dan and Tamaz because ... well, because they needed our help more than some of the others.

The Blog Critic's take on Tiger sites notwithstanding, Sports Blog Critics was started at the behest of Dan, who seemed to think I had no right to criticize HIS site without one of my own. Thus, we slapped one up to appease him.

Don't get me wrong - we're equal opportunity criticizers - but Dan and Tamaz hold a special place in our collective black hearts, and that's why we've begun where we have.

We'll get to you soon enough.

I'm thinking about that sports guy, I probly will make it under one roof. Would you be intrested in merging somehow?
